1. Who we are

AI Jungle (aijungle.io) is a global directory of AI tools. We are committed to respecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection law, including the GDPR for users in the European Union.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Strictly necessary data

  • Cookie preference — stored in your browserbrowser's local storage to remember your consent choice. No personal identifier is associated with this value.
  • Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, HTTP method, path, timestamp) retained for security and operational purposes for a maximum of 30 days.

2.2 Analytics data (requires consent)

Only if you accept analytics cookies, we use PostHog (a GDPR-compliant analytics platform) to collect:

  • Page views and navigation paths
  • Click events and UI interactions (autocapture)
  • Session replays — recordings of your on-screen activity
  • Heatmaps — aggregated click and scroll patterns

All form inputs are masked in session replays. Authentication and submission flows are excluded from replay by default. No payment data is ever captured.

2.3 Tool submission data

If you submit a tool via our form, we collect the information you provide (tool name, URL, description, your contact e-mail if given). This data is used solely to evaluate and list the tool.

3. Legal bases

  • Legitimate interest — server logs for security.
  • Consent — PostHog analytics, session replay, heatmaps. You may withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
  • Contract / pre-contractual steps — tool submission data.

4. Data retention

  • Server logs: 30 days.
  • PostHog data: retained for up to 1 year in PostHog's EU cloud, then deleted. Consent withdrawal triggers immediate opt-out and removal of PostHog local storage/cookies from your browser.
  • Tool submission data: kept as long as the tool is listed or pending review.

5. Data transfers

PostHog data is processed on EU-region servers. We do not transfer personal data to third countries without appropriate safeguards.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Request erasure
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g. the CNIL in France, cnil.fr, or the ICO in the UK)

7. Security
